2010 PM toured around Finland while planning for the next big step: the debut album. Harder EP proved to have the rock’n’roll attitude, but not enough of the twisted musical style of Dead Serious EP. This was definitely going to be more audible on the first long play release. The endeavour led to the strangest mutations of music, but only the most fascinating monsters were approved for the recording. Also the keyboards were planned to have a greater role on the upcoming tracks. So, for a great part of the year it was composition -, arragement of - and rehersals for the new material. Within a few weeks the material was recorded and on May the next year the debut album called "Humanity" was released. |

2009 Piecemaker took a major musical leap in their material.
Countless composing sessions began to produce a new, different type of material
, that had a fresher, more modern feel to it. So it was decided to go headlong with this new style
and sustain only the best elements from the earlier material: the strong rythmic
atmosphere and in-your-face attitude. In the late 09 this determination was released as HARDER EP,
the title being self-explanatory in regard to the contents of the cd. |

As soon as the calendar page turned to 2008 the band sprinted to gig around Finland. The hands couldn't wait to play the new stuff we had developed. Also a new release 'Dead Serious E.P.' got out and the confusion mixed with delight arose once again in the people that heard the piece. Especially the opening track 'Hippie Gave Me A Note' got attention with such analyzing depictions as 'Punk'n'Roll' as well as confused comments like 'This is not rock, this is jazz', which was more than exactly what the band had in mind.

Then 2007 'Maker went silent for a while. It was the army year for the five of us. But no battle front would stop the merry crew from developing their newly found ambition for music and the composing sessions were thicker than ever.

Quickly the new ideology began to produce songs and in 2006 the first demo 'Cave Canem' was released. With acceleration the music spread into the underground scene and reached the Saundi magazine in the Easter issue 2007 with high reviews.

In the year 2005, six musicians gathered for a band meeting in a local bar. They had been playing for two years already under a name 'Reflected' and the music was progressive metal. In two years they had put together but a few songs and even learning to play them took a redicilously long time to reherse. So they had started thinking if the constant stare at the guitar's neck was the way they wanted to play music. The solution was created that evening in the meeting under a new way and name 'Piecemaker'.
