HARDER EP IS OUT!

DEBUT RECORDINGS ON FULL STEAM

A month in recording and we are almost done with the recordings. Still to record are all vocals, grand piano and percussions. Pekka Louhimo fell ill and the vocal recordings had to be delayed by a week. His voice is back in action and the vocal recordings will begin by the end of the week.

Piecemaker is going to go bold with their debut with some guest-musicians. Some backing vocals will be delivered by Hanna Seppälä ja Noora Louhimo. Also, bongos are going to be used on at least one track to give some extra flavour. Over all, the goal for the album is a huge wall of sound and power, none like ever heard earlier by the group.

The release date is still an open bacause we want to make our first-born with care and without haste.

- - HANNA SEPPÄLÄ is know from her band Hanna Seppälä and The Runaway Grooms. Her performances have been popular this year. Hanna and her band have this year entertained nearly summer weekend in weddings across Finland.

- - NOORA LOUHIMO has sung backing vocals on Piecemaker's earlier Dead Serious EP. Better she is known for her Janis Joplin -style roots-rockband Admiral Octopus.

DEBUT ALBUM WILL BE OUT IN THE LATE 2010

The recordings start this week at Tampere. The recoring will be made by Pirkka Rännäli, of who's name you might have noticed on Piecemaker's earlier releases as the mastering technician. On Piecemaker's debut album Pirkka will be handing everything technical from the recording to the mastering. New material is mounting, so we struggle on what to filter on the disc. Due to the recorings PM has time for only a few gigs this summer, so if you wish to hear some of the album material in advance, you should appear to the gig!

GIG! GIG! GIG!

Holy smoke! Piecemaker is loose at Ilokivi,JKL TODAY! The gig will be presented with a temporary line-up: without keyboards and with a temp drummer. The house is going down never-the-less!

THANK YOU FOR 2009!

The gigging this year was as busy as 21 gigs this year. Major thanks to everyone who came to jam with our punk-and-roll! It seems the crowd is getting larger every year and the feedback ever more praiseful. Our fans are the thing that giveus the feeling our music is appreciated outside the garage, which is important for any band. In the future we intent to make yet even more exiting new material and get the groove with the devil's hoove move :P.

Next up is the painful but oh so pleasurable time to compose. NExt year we will be starting the gigging again of course, and new material will be heard already on Jan 28th 2010 at Gloria, Tampere, Finland.

Another year is closing its end and the roading for Harder ep has been fruitful and fun. Most venues had a crowd to play to, so we humbly thank you. We have decided to concentrate on composing for the rest of the year, so not much gigging will be seen, apart from a couple of gigs if someone didn't quite catch us this year. Anyway, new songs are developing and new stuff will be heard on gigs, but next spring is going to be the second round of Harder ep -oriented touring.
