Ilkka
started playing guitar inspired by Finnish melodic metal bands. Thank
god his likings have changed a lot in time. We met at high school and
got familiar in a music project. Little by little I infected him with
Symphony X, Whitesnake, and later on with Steve Vai, Toto, Van Halen
etc. and that's what he listens today.
In music he values real attitude, catchy
choruses and of course amazing guitar solos. Some kind of sincerity is
audible in his playing - he plays what he plays, and plays it well.
He has a habit of waiting the right feeling
to do anything at all(in good and bad), but usually does what he's
supposed to do. He hates making things too complex, and usually stays
out of too high-flown conversations, which aren't rare when Piecemaker
is gathered to chat and drink beer.
